I simply cannot bring myself to say Happy Fathers Day...so I will say...Happy Survivors Day! I am so grateful that each of you have survived "fathers" or the lack thereof (though I am unsure which is worse). You survived fathers who were missing, who broke you, who stole your innocence, your tomorrows, and your peace. You grew beyond yesterdays and brokenness. You surpassed every hateful word he spoke and every dream he stole. You are a warrior!!
While person after person celebrates Father's day, while it tears pieces of your heart thinking of your own, hold your head high knowing you survived! You made it! Without the very basics of what makes us human, you are still here!!!! Still moving forward!!! You are amazing and I love you soooo very much!!!!!
